Stakes raised even higher for top TV poker event

The world’s top players will be putting $5 million of their own money into the pot for the forthcoming High Stakes Poker event, to be televised on GSN.

To be shown across seven episodes, High Stakes Poker IV will be the only ‘cash game’ of no-limit Texas Hold’em to be broadcast, with the stellar line-up expected to bring in the viewers and make for some top class entertainment.

While it would be hard to single out one individual, Doyle Brunson is arguably the greatest poker player of all time.

Known on the circuit as “Texas Dolly”, the ten-times World Series of Poker bracelet winner will be lining up alongside 2006 WSOP champion Jamie Gold, who famously walked away with $12 million after that victory.

Among the other names to be sitting at the High Stakes Poker table will be David Benyamine, Barry Greenstein, Antonio “The Magician” Esfandiari, Daniel Negreanu, Patrick Antonius and the businessman and event newcomer Guy Laliberte.

The weekly show will kick off on Monday 5th November.
